The NDMA delegation was invited by the Chief Executive of the Climate Change Initiative Bangladesh to speak at a high-level dialogue on “Natural Rights–Led Climate Governance: A Pathway to Planetary Justice and Inclusive Earth Governance.”
During the session, NDMA emphasized:
a. Access to reliable early warning information as a fundamental natural right for all communities.
b. The need for inclusive and accessible dissemination of early warning messages, ensuring they are delivered in languages and formats understood by every segment of society.
Drawing on Pakistan’s diverse context from mountain communities to coastal populations, NDMA underscored the urgent call for planetary justice through equitable access to credible multi-hazard risk information, enabling climate-resilient decision-making. The discussion also aligned with global priorities being advanced toward COP30, where rights-based climate governance and people-centric resilience remain central themes.
