Chairman NDMA formally welcomed all participants and delivered a comprehensive briefing highlighting Pakistan’s climate vulnerability landscape — covering the spectrum of threats including heatwaves, GLOF events, earthquakes, floods, droughts, and growing water scarcity. He emphasized the pivotal role of NEOC as a national coordination hub and encouraged replication of such models in host countries, also underlining the significance of collaborative initiatives and CISE participation.
 
Representatives from NDMA’s Threat and Response Wings shared respective briefs, strengthening the contextual understanding of Pakistan’s preparedness framework. During the interactive Q&A segment, several Ambassadors called for formalized cooperation through MoU signings, official delegations, and enhanced bilateral collaboration in disaster management. Chairman NDMA responded positively to each proposal and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to knowledge sharing and joint resilience-building.
