Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan visited the National Emergency Operation Center of the National Disaster Management Authority. The Prime Minister's Youth Programme is committed to the empowerment of Pakistan's youth through skill development, financial assistance, and educational support, with a focus on entrepreneurship, employability, and social inclusion as drivers of socio-economic progress.
During the visit, the Chairman of NDMA gave an overview of the Integrated National Search and Rescue (INSaR) Concept, initiated by NDMA to cater the needs of geo-based hazards. The concept involved community and volunteers as first responders, making it more relevant to the objectives of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme.
The session ended with mutual agreement regarding collaborating on this valuable government initiative as both sides could perceive the synergies between NDMA and NYP toward national resilience and disaster response capabilities.
