The Global Platform for DRR is undergoing in Geneva, being organized by the UNDRR. At the Ministerial Roundtable on School Safety on Day 4 of GPDRR, Pakistan, represented by NDMA, reaffirmed that safe education is a right, not a privilege. With one of the world’s most disaster-exposed populations, Pakistan’s NDMA is scaling up resilient learning environments through the Pakistan School Safety Framework (PSSF), endorsed nationally and aligned with INEE standards.
The statement highlighted progress in hazard assessments, evacuation drills, and child-centered preparedness across provinces, with digital e-Checklists, school integration into hazard exposure maps (e-MHVRA), and DRR-infused curricula.
Pakistan also completed its Comprehensive School Safety (CSS) Policy Country Profile in 2024.

NDMA called for:
1. Institutionalizing school-based DRR in education systems.
2. Using forecasting tools to target high-risk school retrofits.
3. Expanding South–South cooperation on safe schools.

Pakistan reiterated its proposal of a dedicated global DRR fund under UNDRR for providing equitable finance for resilient initiatives including school safety.
