International Collaboration
The IC Wing operates through diplomatic missions to connect with friendly nations through Pakistan missions abroad and foreign-resident diplomats across the globe for NDMA’s needs and requirements. We also connect with federal ministries and other entities to leverage their expertise and resources to facilitate NDMA in the full spectrum of Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change.
Objectives / Scope
The objectives of our diplomatic engagements are to seek capacity building, regional cooperation, academia engagement, and support in the provision and supply of high-end items and support in case of any disaster or calamity that exceeds national capacity and resources.
IC seeks strategic partnerships focused on highlighting the Early Warning System and other capabilities of NEOC to key global and regional organizations. By engaging with delegations from groups such as the Commonwealth, ASEAN, SCO, ECO, SAARC, European Union, African Union and others, we aim to showcase NEOC’s operational excellence, fostering opportunities for collaboration and potential replication across various countries and regions. This approach strengthens connections and promotes international cooperation for mutual growth and innovation.

International and Regional Events
International and regional events focused on disaster risk management (DRM) and climate change mitigation and adaptation are essential for fostering global collaboration and advancing collective efforts in combating climate challenges.
These events provide a platform to invite resident diplomats and regional delegations, allowing NEOC to demonstrate its capabilities and resources in addressing both disaster risks and the broader impacts of climate change. By engaging with international partners, we aim to identify common areas of collaboration, exchange knowledge, and jointly develop strategies for more effective climate action and resilience building.
Through joint simulation exercises, scenario-based training, and real-time collaboration, we work to establish a unified response mechanism for disaster management, ensuring a more coordinated and efficient approach to tackling emergencies.
These engagements also allow for the sharing of best practices in climate change mitigation, adaptation techniques, and innovative disaster response strategies. By strengthening these partnerships, we not only improve regional preparedness but also enhance the global capacity to address the multifaceted challenges of climate change and disaster risk reduction.
