As we approach the end of 2024, I reflect with gratitude on the efforts and achievements of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in serving our nation and assisting other nations during the time of disaster. December has been a significant month, showcasing our dedication to proactive disaster management and humanitarian response. On directions of Prime Minister, NDMA conducted the flight operation for the safe repatriation of stranded Pakistani nationals from Syria. This mission was a testament to our unwavering commitment to the welfare of our citizens, no matter where they are. It was a challenging yet deeply fulfilling operation that highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts across various institutions to ensure the safety and dignity of our people. In line with the Prime Minister's directive to extend support to flood-affected communities in Malaysia, Pak NDMA dispatched two consignments of relief flight carrying 80 tons of essential items. This consignment includes life-saving supplies such as food, tents, blankets and medicines to address the immediate needs of those impacted. As Pakistan has endured its own share of natural calamities, we understand the pain and challenges such disasters bring. It is this shared understanding that drives us to stand firmly with Malaysia in its time of need. This effort also reinforces the importance of solidarity and collaboration in overcoming adversit. As we move forward, NDMA remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen national preparedness, foster resilience, and provide timely responses to emergencies. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire NDMA team, our partners, and all stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to achieve our goals.
