In view of the 2026 monsoon season, the Infrastructure Advisory & Project Development (IA&PD) Wing of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a Monsoon Infrastructure Advisory for Pakistan. The advisory warns that localized heavy rainfall, flash floods, urban flooding, GLOFs, landslides, and debris flows during July–September 2026 could severely impact critical infrastructure, transportation networks, utilities, and public services, while emphasizing timely preparedness, infrastructure inspections, and mitigation measures to minimize potential disruptions.

The Pictorial Booklet on Recommended Construction Methodologies, Resilient Structures and Global Best Practices is a comprehensive guide issued by the Infrastructure Advisory & Project Development Wing of Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). It presents visually rich, zone-specific recommendations for building disaster-resilient infrastructure across Pakistan, with particular focus on high-risk mountainous regions (Zone A), urban/riverine areas, deserts, and coastal zones. Infrastructure Damages Reporting and Verification Framework

The Infrastructure Advisory and Project Development Wing of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has prepared this Concept Note. It outlines a standardized digital framework for reporting, verifying, and consolidating infrastructure damage data during monsoon and flash floods 2026. The framework addresses the limitations of the previous manual and fragmented reporting system, as highlighted by the Monsoon 2025 experience, by introducing a centralized Infrastructure Damages Verification Portal.
