Infrastructure Damages Reporting and Verification Framework

The Infrastructure Advisory and Project Development Wing of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has prepared this Concept Note. It outlines a standardized digital framework for reporting, verifying, and consolidating infrastructure damage data during monsoon and flash floods 2026. The framework addresses the limitations of the previous manual and fragmented reporting system, as highlighted by the Monsoon 2025 experience, by introducing a centralized Infrastructure Damages Verification Portal.

In view of seasonal weather transitions, the Infrastructure Advisory & Project Development (IA&PD) Wing of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a Rainfall, Hailstorm, and Thunderstorm Infrastructure Advisory 2026 covering multiple regions across Pakistan. The advisory highlights that high-intensity rainfall during this period significantly affects soil stability and drainage capacity, increasing the risk of flooding and landslides in both mountainous and lowland areas.

Avalanche Infrastructure Advisory 2026 – Northern Areas of Pakistan

In view of the late winter and early spring season, the Infrastructure Advisory & Project Development (IA&PD) Wing of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an avalanche infrastructure advisory for the northern mountainous regions of Pakistan. The advisory highlights that rising temperatures during this period significantly destabilize snowpacks, increasing the likelihood of avalanches and posing serious risks to communities, infrastructure, and travelers.

The Infrastructure Advisory and Project Development Wing of the NDMA conducted a seminar on National Infrastructure Audit Program – 2026 on 7th January, 2026 at NDMA Headquarters, Islamabad. The Post-Monsoon 2025 Infrastructure Damage Report presents a nationwide assessment of infrastructure impacts caused by the Monsoon 2025 across Pakistan. Prepared by NDMA’s Infrastructure Advisory and Project Development Wing, the report analyzes damage patterns, identifies key causes of failure, and highlights priority areas for recovery and resilience. It supports informed planning and coordinated actions to strengthen infrastructure preparedness against future monsoon events.
