A heatwave spell is expected in the mentioned districts from 18th June, 2025 to 22nd June, 2025, with the Heat index likely to soar above 41°C. with many regions likely to experience severe to extreme heatwave conditions. The exposed districts include Turbat, Dadu, Moenjo-Daro, Malir, Korangi, Peshawar, Bannu, Karachi, Sibi, Gotki, Khairpur, Lahore, Rahimyar Khan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Jacobabad, Lodhran, and nearby areas. During this period, daytime temperatures in these areas are expected to remain well above 44°C to 48 °C, with "feels-like" values ranging between 45°C to 52°C due to humidity and stagnant atmospheric conditions.
Moist currents are penetrating in Upper parts of the country and a Westerly wave is also likely to approach Upper parts on 13th June 2025 and likely to persist till 16th June 2025. Severe heatwave conditions are likely to subside during the period.
