Reference to National Disaster Management Authority Weather Alert dated 01st Jan, 2025, scattered Rainfall is expected in Abbottabad, Bajaur, Bannu, Buner, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Orakzai, Peshawar, Shangla, Swabi, Swat, and Waziristan. Rain, wind, and thunderstorms with heavy snow will likely occur over the mountains in GB & AJK. As moderate rain may persist for some days, localized landslides may occur in very high to moderate-risk zones. Karakuram Highway along Hunza (from RD 510 to RD 555), at Nagar (from RD 450 to RD 480), at Gilgit (from RD 425 to RD 445 and from RD 370 to RD 415), at Lower Kohistan (from RD 180 to RD 215), at Upper Kohistan (from RD 220 to RD 240) is at high risk of landslide.
