Islamabad (October 21, 2022): Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, HI (M), has assumed the charge as Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Lieutenant General Inam Haider is a veteran officer from the Army Corps of Engineers who has vast command and staff experience to his professional career credit spanning more than three decades, including command of operationally deployed formations, an infantry division along the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan, and an infantry brigade in the erstwhile FATA. He has remained Director General of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and Director General of Military Infrastructures at GHQ. His appointment as Chairman NDMA in exceptionally challenging times brings colossal challenges alongside deliverance opportunities for NDMA in its preferred remodelled and value-added consistent mode.
