NDMA delegates led by Chairman, Lt Gen Imam Haider Malik called on Vice President ICRC Mr Gilles Carbonnier. Members from Pakistan Permanent Mission in Geneva also attended. Pakistan’s recent accomplishments in proactive disaster management and hybrid futuristic probabilistic trajectories were highlighted by Chairman NDMA. Need for greater technical cooperation between dismantles and humanitarian response developers was agreed as key enabler.

Climate change triggered future scarcity of resources, with potential to cascading into regional stresses and conflicts was underscored by both sides. With range of domains in collaborative framework, convergence areas will be refined with targeted scope and realistic community plans.NDMA offered ICRC to visit Pakistan NEOC and encourage support mechanisms for potential regional disasters mitigation and adaptation.
