NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2024

In September, NDMA made significant strides in enhancing our early warning systems and multi-stakeholder coordination and tech driven smart response frameworks. With the collaboration of Provincial and Regional disaster management authorities, we conducted Combined Integrated Simulation Exercises (CISE) to build community resilience and improve response mechanism.   Additionally, capacity-building workshops were held to train first responders and improve our resource deployment strategies. I am proud to share that we have begun laying the groundwork for implementing National Disaster Management Plan (NDMP) & Pakistan Risk Atlas. This comprehensive framework will empower us to address vulnerabilities, leverage cutting-edge technologies and strengthen our risk communication capabilities. Through multi-domain strategies and innovation, we are working to ensure that timely, actionable information reaches every citizen, enabling safer and more informed decisions in times of crisis.   As we look ahead, our mission remains steadfast: to mitigate risks, safeguard lives and foster a culture of preparedness. I encourage all stakeholders, from local communities to international partners, to remain engaged and proactive in this shared endeavor.   Together, we can build a Pakistan that is not only resilient but also prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.   Thank you for your continued support and dedication to this vital cause.
