Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, welcomed the delegation at the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC).

The delegation was briefed on NDMA’s mandate, operational capabilities, and proactive disaster management systems. Participants were also informed about the national-level emergency response framework, early warning systems, and public awareness strategies.

NDMA experts apprised the delegation that NEOC operates an organized system for multi-hazard early warnings and ensures timely information sharing with relevant institutions to facilitate prompt preventive measures.

The Balochistan delegation showed keen interest in NDMA’s technology-driven systems and appreciated the Authority’s effective initiatives for disaster preparedness and coordination.

At the conclusion of the visit, a consultative session was held between NDMA officials and the delegation to discuss enhancing disaster management capacities at the provincial and district levels in Balochistan.
