A high-level defence delegation from the Russian Federation visited the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters, Islamabad, where they toured the National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC). The delegation received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan's disaster risk management framework, early warning systems, emergency coordination mechanisms, and the use of advanced technologies for disaster preparedness and response.

The visit highlighted the importance of international collaboration in strengthening disaster resilience, enhancing institutional coordination, and sharing best practices in emergency management. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting cooperation in disaster risk reduction, capacity building, and the exchange of knowledge to effectively address evolving humanitarian and climate-related challenges.
