The meeting was chaired by the Chairman NDMA, Lt. General Inam Haider Malik and participants included members of the Forum including all PDMAs, PMD, FAO, WFP, OCHA, GRC, PRCS, WHH, GIZ and partner organisations such as UNICEF, NHN, SCI.
 
Chairman NDMA highlighted the country's increased vulnerability to climate change and remedial measures needed to enhance climate & disaster resilience. He stressed that an anticipatory approach to disaster risk management is a critical pillar for increasing preparedness and response capabilities. Chairman NDMA emphasized the need to learn from and designing indigenized AA interventions based on global and regional best practices and success stories.
 
Partner organisations apprised the Forum on the work already done and ongoing initiatives to support the implementation of the national AA agenda in Pakistan. The meeting concluded with consensus among participants on working in a coordinated and collaborative manner to roll out AA interventions and adding on to the existing AA work being carried out in the country.
