Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman President Al Khidmat Foundation called on Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, HI (M) in his office today.  

Chairman NDMA highlighted about NEOC being prepared as national digital hub to connect all DM stakeholders for generating a common operating picture for Pakistan , which will also incorporate humanitarian agencies and intl. partners and connecting global community through NDMA’s Think tank NIDM.

He said that AI-driven system will enable experts for dissemination of awareness campaigns and multi-lingual early warning messages through automated system to reach public via all possible means of communication. 

Chairman NDMA also laid stress on local requirement based assessment during pre-disaster phase & preparing the vulnerable communities especially women.

President Al Khidmat Foundation appreciated the envisioned NEOC and endorsed the need for developing such a high-tech crisis response in Pakistan, which has been continuously hit by intense/erratic changing climatic behavior.
