Held under the Prime Minister’s directive, the program—endorsed by the PM Office—aims to shift disaster management from response to prevention through risk-informed, evidence-based infrastructure audits at federal and provincial levels. Federal Minister for Housing & Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, attended as Chief Guest and underscored the need to address structural vulnerabilities to reduce disaster losses.
Chairman NDMA Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik emphasized coordinated nationwide implementation, standardized audit methodologies, digital reporting, and prioritization of high-risk buildings to enhance resilience. Senior stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to jointly implement the Infrastructure Audit Program–2026 for safer, more resilient communities.
