The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) organized a seminar on “Urban Flood Resilience Measures – Vision 2027” to promote greater awareness and strengthen coordinated approaches towards reducing the risks associated with urban flooding.

The seminar brought together relevant stakeholders to discuss urban flood risk reduction, resilient infrastructure, effective drainage systems, early warning mechanisms, preparedness, response planning, and climate-resilient urban development. Participants shared experiences, technical insights, and practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the resilience of cities against increasing flood risks.

The discussions emphasized the importance of proactive planning, technology-driven early warning systems, improved coordination among institutions, community preparedness, and sustainable urban development. The seminar provided a platform for stakeholders to explore practical measures and collaborative strategies aligned with the Vision 2027 for safer and more resilient urban communities.
